How do I get Amy?
Amy installs from the Shopify App Store. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you the moment the listing is live.
Will Amy send something I haven’t seen?
No. Every automation starts switched off, and you read and approve it before it runs. Campaigns always need your approval to send.
Can Amy text my customers on day one?
Email, yes. Texting starts once carriers verify your sending number, which can take a little while.
What happens to the people who unsubscribed from Klaviyo?
They stay unsubscribed. Amy imports your unsubscribes and suppressions along with your list, and an old opt-in can never override someone’s opt-out.
Do I need to learn a flow builder?
No, because there isn’t one. You get 12 finished automations and 14 ready-made audiences, and Amy runs the popup and subject line tests for you. If you need complex branching journeys, Klaviyo is the better fit.
How am I billed?
Through Shopify. Amy is a Shopify app subscription, so the charge shows up on the same invoice as your other apps. Amy reports what you sent, Shopify calculates the charge, and we never see your card.
What exactly is a “segment”?
Carriers bill texts in 160-character segments, and Amy passes that through at $0.009 each. A 400-character text is three segments. Adding an emoji switches the text to an encoding that fits only 70 characters per segment, so emoji-heavy texts use more segments. That’s why the estimator asks about length.
Why isn’t SMS included in the base fee?
Because you might not be able to send texts yet. Carriers have to verify your sending number first, and that review is out of our hands and can take a while. We didn’t want to charge you for a channel you can’t use yet.
Does my list size change what I pay?
No. Contacts are never billed, subscribed or not. Import your whole Klaviyo audience and your base fee is still $10.
What happens if I have a huge month?
You pay the same rates for the extra volume. There’s a hard monthly cap of 10 million emails and 2 million text segments, which is there to stop a software bug from running up your bill. It’s far above what we expect any store to send, but it is a hard stop, so talk to us before a month that would go over it.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Uninstall Amy from your Shopify admin and the subscription ends. Anything you already sent that billing period is still charged.
Is there a free trial?
No. Every email Amy sends costs real money to deliver, and free months would push the price up for everyone. Nothing sends until you turn an automation on.
